We chose this cruise as we knew we would see lots of castles, beautiful churches and pretty towns and villages and we are particularly keen on scenery and wanted to see Vienna and Budapest. We would have liked a little more time in Cologne and Passau but realise that sometimes it is not possible for this to happen due to our sailing times. All the staff were helpful and friendly at all times. Our Tour Director Isabel was extremely competent and ensured that we all left on time for our daily activities and was always on hand to help with our queries. We thoroughly enjoyed the time on top deck when Isabel was doing her commentry and giving information about the castles and villages we were cruising past. The food was excellent and most importantly if plain food was required it was readily available. The waiters were very efficient and friendly and ensured we were happy with our meals. The entertainment was excellent and of a high quality and most suitable for a Rhine and Danube cruise. The resident pianist played a good selection of music whilst we had afternoon tea and in the evenings. The staff on Reception were pleasant and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise experience with Avalon Panorama and would not hesitate to recommend this cruise to our friends and to have another cruise with Avalon.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with Window

Cabin D

Our cabin was immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. Our lovely maid Stela ensured that we had clean towels, and toiletries each day and popped a lovely animal made from towels on two occasions on our bed which made us and our fellow passengers smile. The safe was a little small and could have been a little larger. The wardrobe space was adequate for our clothes but we struggled to accommodate our footwear.
