Overall good cruise but ship lacking in areas

Review for the Southern Caribbean Cruise on Carnival Magic

We choose this trip because it was 3 port's we had never visited and a ship we hadn't sailed on before. Our cabin was on the 2nd floor which was a cove balcony overall the cabin was nice but needed some updating the furniture on the balcony was old and had paint splattered all over it and hole's in the seats the floor of the balcony was molded around the edges looked like it hadn't had a good cleaning in a while. The food on the lido deck durning the lunch period was not that great and the selection was not great either we ate at Guy's Burger's and the Bar BQ place to makeup for the lack of food choice's also we ate more in the dinning room not only for the better food choice's but because we had an outstanding dining room staff. The group I was with which consisted of 11 adult's and 1child (7yrs old) was not overly impressed with the Cruise director or his staff they lacked a lot they need to go on the Dream and see how it's done.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We came in the day before our cruise and stayed at the Best Western which was nice and clean ate dinner at Fish Lips that night the food was over priced and could have been a little better along with a little more selection's
