Out first impressions when we boarded the Tui Discovery 2 cruise ship was good. We went to our balcony cabin and was pleased with the cabin and balcony. The 2 gentlemen that serviced our room which was number 7040 was very good and everything was clean and tidy every day. On the first day of our cruise we were at sea all day and night consequently everybody that was cruising was on board the ship for 24 hours.

Each evening we toured round the various bar/entertainment arears and found it very hard to find 2 seats and table to sit and enjoy a drink. Every venue was extremely loud and the only place you could actually sit and hear yourself speak was the pool bar. The first time we visited this bar we got our drinks and when looking at the glasses, which were understandably reusable plastic glasses as it was the pool area we found that the glasses were badly scratched and looked dirty we asked for 2 different glasses but these were in the same state, so every time we went to this area to have a drink we took with us 2 glasses from the restaurant which were clean.

We docked into a different port every morning and found that you had to pay for the shuttle bus to take you from the port to the town this was £6 pounds return. Cruises are not a cheap holiday and we feel it was extremely bad that Thompson charged people to be taken from each port to the towns.
