Heard it was a good cruise and we wanted to see a cross section of Baltic countries. We had been to many of the countries before. The service was excellent and all staff were well trained and friendly. We were given a handicapped room which we DID NOT LIKE. This is certainly not a glitzy cruise ship. VERY understated, but nice. The organization was great, but we did have a few problems.

My main concern is the limited time spent on "so called" included tours. Tours mostly on buses, no time for shopping, or lingering. They provided extra shuttles from town and we did take advantage of them when possible. However, it wasn't always clear as to where to pick up the shuttle. A general pointing in the direction is not sufficient to feel confident to find the shuttle and get back to the ship.

The "paid for" trip which included a Polish dinner was a JOKE. It was in a hotel, No ambiance and we had Italian chicken parmigian as our entree. If you wanted another glass of wine you had to pay for it. Really disappointing. We tried to stay with the "included" tours as it can get pretty pricey.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Suite

There were 2 couples each with suite. Upon arrival we were all dismayed to find we were booked in handicapped room. We did NOT have a sitting area, but had a HUGE bathroom to accommodate a wheelchair. Seemed like less coset space. We both went down to guest services and asked for another room. We were told our travel agent should have known these rooms were for the handicapped and there were no more available rooms. Have not heard from her as yet. It wasn't the suite we expected, but made do. A disappointment and kind of creepy.
