It was our first trip on Celebrity and was supposed to be an "upgrade" to RCCL so 2 other couples joined for an Alaskan Voyage from Seward on the Millennium. We did see sun one day and all of our excursions were very fun but we were not able to enjoy the Island Wings Tour due to weather. We enjoyed our company anyway and enjoyed the vastness of Alaska even though everything was a bit wet. Now on to the Ship.

The Ship - The Millennium is a bit worn and showing her age but fairly well kept up. We noticed a number of places that the woodwork had been freshly varnished and remained "tacky" throughout our trip because, due to the weather, it would not dry so it was difficult to rest your arms on the rails and bars due to the tackiness. Even though the ship was smaller, some of the floors were difficult to navigate (front to back - back to front), sometimes having to go up or down a deck. I am sure if we had been on the ship or one of her sisters, that would not be a problem. We also found some of the venues difficult to get to such as one ending at 9:45 on Deck 4 with the next starting at 10:00 on deck 11....poor planning more than anything.

Cabin - We were in cabin 6126, a small suite. We liked the fact that the perks carried Michaels Club, which we used several times each day but the cabin itself was poorly laid out. My wife and I were constantly bumping into each other at the door to the bathroom and closet area and the drawer space was lacking to other cabins we have had in the past. Our Cabin attendant/Butler were so-so, only saw the attendant a couple of times and the Butler maybe a few times more but the room was clean so that was OK....it just felt cramped and poorly laid out.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

Poorly laid out and small when entering the door. My wife and I kept bumping into each other while we were getting ready for dinner in the evenings by the bathroom door, closet doors. Not enough drawer space both in the bathroom and closet area.

Port Reviews

Seward

Did a little walking in the rain, took in the local brewery and a few shops, a restautant, got on the ship.
