We are Crown and Anchor Diamond members and have cruised 23 times with RCCL.

I usually review the cruises we take with a pro and con theme but this review will be different.

We were scheduled to cruise to the Eastern Caribbean to include stops in Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Kitts. Three days before sailing we received an email from RCCL telling us that they had changed the itinerary to the Western Caribbean due to the Hurricane Irma. Although disappointed, we were happy with the new destinations of Cozumel, Falmouth and Labadee. Once the cruise began we were told that the itinerary was being changed again to delete Labadee, Haiti due to the storm in the Caribbean (Irma), The itinerary was changed to Costa Maya after Falmouth. Shortly after announcing the change to Costa Maya it was announced that we would also be visiting Cozumel again as a delaying tactic for the storm Irma to get through the Ft. Lauderdale area where we sailed from. Here is where my review changes...we have always mentioned the small things on a cruise that have annoyed us but I will not do that on this review. We found that the steps taken by RCCL to keep us safe (and happy) were exemplary! The cruise company bent over backward to make sure we were comfortable and SAFE. The itinerary chosen was perfect in that we never felt a ripple from the seas. We were given 50% off on many items like drink packages, internet, special dining, etc. Everyday at 8 am, noon and 6 pm we were given weather and itinerary updates by the Captain and company meteorologist regarding Irma. We later discovered that RCCL was taking aid (food and water) to Caribbean countries effected by the storm. I just cannot nit pick anything the company did. Totally professional and caring.
