We've traveled on several Carnival ships. This ship was an older ship and even though it was supposed to be "updated" they only paid attention to the public areas which were nice. I loved the decor however once in our ocean view cabin, the disappointment began! The bathroom didn't have much counter space; the toilet was old, discolored and groaned when you sat on it!! Now, I'm a little over weight but no where near even 200 lbs! The toilet scrubber was mounted right in FRONT of the toilet! There was no refrigerator. I called the steward and he advised we had to go to customer service to request one! There was also no hair dryer. So we spent a good amount of time at the customer service desk to request these things! We had Faster to the Fun but there was only one agent on duty. If I wasn't diabetic we would not have gotten the refrigerator. Also, our luggage didn't arrive until 5pm. Dinner that night was very good so we were excited that the food would be good, however from that night forward, the food was just so-so. The service was very slow every night. The waiters were nice but not very attentive and extremely slow. I hate the little show they have to put on every night!! It's useless and slows service even more. The selections in the dining room weren't much to my taste and it was very disappointing that the buffet had the exact same food items as the dining room! On all of our other Carnival cruises, the buffet was totally different. They also for the most part only one line open for dinner in the buffet. They only had one bar open at the very small pool area. The show was ok but basically the same as on all the other Carnival ships The only great thing about this cruise was the cruise director C-Love and an excursion we took in Cozumel to help save sea turtle babies, I would never sail on this ship again and would certainly not recommend it.
