the oasis of the seas is a beautiful ship to behold. royal class embarkation-met at the terminal by allan fallardo our royal genie. he escorted us up to our cabin. no fuss. luggage followed us to our room with our own personal porter.

everything was ready once we got into our cabin. champagne was waiting. allan explained everything to us. we were to call allan with anything that we needed. we met our room stewards augus and alfonso, they were great and also told us to contact them if we needed anything. we had drinks of all types in the mini fridge and allan made sure we had coffee delivered each morning and chivas regal and grey goose delivered each night. all our entertainment and dining reservations were made and if we wanted to change them all we had to do was give allan a call. before each show allan was waiting with the best seats in the house and had a bar server ready to take our order before he left us for the evening.

our royal genie allan met with us each day to make sure we were being taken care of and to help us with anything we might need. he is truly a spectacular human being and if you ever lucky enough to get him as your genie you will not be disappointed!!! we had an over the water cabana in labadee. it was well worth the money. the water was crystal clear and warm. the people on the island friendly and kind.a great day! -and then hurricane irma headed straight for florida. my husband left the ship in falmouth jamaica for a flight home to florida. allan handled everything. he personally escorted my husband off the ship, through immigration and into a taxi for the ride to the airport in montego bay. i dont know how we would have done it without him! after allowing one day for moping and our own personal pity party we agreed to enjoy ourselves and make the best of things. due to the hurricane we spent 2 days in cozumel. one day we shopped at the port and the other we made a pool day. costa maya was also added and we spent the day on a lovely and informative tour to the chaccoban ruins.( a lot less time than heading to chichen itza. sea days were spent sunning at the suite deck sun lounge or at the solarium, drinks in hand. we had dinners in the windjammer (always fun and tasty!) giovanni's (good food but the server was a little to quick to get us out of there. 150 park central (i think thats the name) had a great server and some delicious pumpkin soup and lobster gnocchi. we watched all of the shows, even cats and really enjoyed them. my favorite has always been the ice show. i just don't know how they skate and jump with the movement of the ship! spent all my gambling money in the casino-won a little -gave it back-lost the rest. but fun anyway! disembarkation a breeze. our luggage picked up in our room at 7 am that morning (was waiting for us once we got off the ship) escorted again by allan off the ship. no lines, no crowds -eazy peezy! we thanked him and said our goodbyes and then it was back to reality-no power,no cable/interenet, no landlines, and enough downed trees and yard debris to fill a stadium. as i write this we finally got everything up and running this morning. day 6. thank you royal for keeping us away from the storm and bringing us all home safely!

Cabin Review

Sky Loft Suite with Balcony

Cabin SL

this cabin is fabulous-just views of the ocean. no basketball or mini golf view as in other sky loft suite. giant balcony with table and four chairs, two loungers and two chairs with ottomans-immense space-2 bathrooms to die for. giant showers big enough for 2 -upstairs bedroom loft with floor to ceiling windows. downstairs has a sofa that converts and a large rectangle table with 4 chairs. it has more storage than you will ever use. absolutely spotless! i cannot say enough about this cabin. if you are looking for a sky loft suite this is the one to choose.
