This was our first river cruise and it was fantastic. The ship was clean and the amenities were wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly. We are looking at doing this again with Ama for their cruise in Portugal. We would highly recommend this cruise line. We were on the cruise as part of Backroads bicyling adventures. Ama accomodated our needs to get off the ship to travel the Rhine on bikes. The staff interacted and were more than helpful when something was needed. The trip was very relaxing with lots to do. I am a morning person and there was coffee and rolls waiting for me. The stops were wonderful and the trips we took that were Ama sponsored were well run and the guides were good. We have never been on a river cruise and we would do this before an ocean cruise anytime. We liked being able to see the little towns which in my opinion are much more interesting than the bigger cities.
