Traveled with children

We were travelling with our toddler so preferred to have the flexibility and casualness of NCL's freestyle cruising. Affordable and great for our first experience cruising. The ship had a Guppies program which was a playroom for children under 3 where they also had some music and play programs. The service is amazing across the ship. We preferred dining at the Garden Cafe because it was always casual and tons of food options for our fussy toddler. The view from that restaurant is also spectacular. Very comfortable inside stateroom with more than enough space for us... a couple and 1 toddler. Next time we may book a balcony room to have some daylight. Other than that our room was great and the steward was amazing. He left towel animals for our son every night on the bed which made his day every time! I wish disembarkation on final day isn't so early in the morning. Amazing ports and we booked shared shore excursions in all 3 ports in Italy which was amazing. Booked the ship's excursions in Cannes and Palma Majorca and honestly didn't enjoy being herded into buses which have to wait for the whole group to show up every time. Smaller shore excursions with groups of 8 with local tour operators is definitely the way to go.

Cabin Review

Family Inside

Cabin I1

This is an inside stateroom and so was small but more than enough for us... a couple and 1 toddler. LOTS of storage in closet and drawers. Queen bed was super comfortable and the pull out beds are very good too. We really liked the room. Only thing we didn't like was not having a balcony or even a small window to allow some daylight into the room and to see where we were. But since we had a baby with us we preferred the security of no balcony. Next time will likely book a balcony room so we can have a view and daylight.
