Boarding the ship in Venice was so easy. They took our luggage and said just come back later to board for cruise. We had stayed an extra night in Venice on our own. The only complaint we had was the Viking concierge at Hilton Molino Stucky was not very friendly or helpful. Viking was going to charge us $50 apiece to ride ferry over to ship. We rode public transportation for 6 apiece. Was a little disappointed in that. Ship is new and beautiful. Spa is unbelievable. Our Deluxe room was very nice and spacious with plenty of room for storage. So nice to have water available every day and of course they give you one every time you leave the ship. Crew is always there to help and very courteous and professional. Service could not have been any better. We loved the buffet. We have never seen such a array of seafood that was delicious. Of course, the wine was good and they didn't skimp on filling your glass over and over! Also enjoyed the beer at lunchtime. Loved the gelato and all the desserts. Entertainment was ok but we only took in a couple of shows. We wished we had had more time at the Olympia port. So much to see and just didn't have enough time to see museum and the Olympic ruins. We had a very early flight but they take care of you - just like always. We have been on their river cruise and enjoyed that too but the food and entertainment on this ocean cruise was so much better. Loved, loved, loved the seafood that was offered every night. Better than the restaurant which would take at least 2 1/2 hours. Specialty restaurants were ok but again - the buffet beat them all. We love Viking and would definitely take another cruise with them. They take great care of you and you never had to worry about anything!!
