We booked this cruise in Dec 2016 directly with NCL.com to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. What should have been an easy reservation turned out to be a nightmare dealing with the corporate office. We were told back then that the cruise was filling fast and there were NO ocean-view rooms available on the upper decks. Strike one.
Final payment was due in June, so we paid in full on May 30, only to have NCL double-charge our credit card. Since house taxes and insurance were also billed that month, our credit card was over-limit and frozen for two weeks while NCL "rushed" a refund. Strike two
FOUR DAYS before sailing, we get new travel docs stating we are moved from a forward stateroom on 9th deck forward to a new room on 4th deck at extreme aft end, and they again charged our credit card for the "upgrade" Called to complain but corporate office in Miami are evacuated due the hurricane. Strike three
Original cabin 4252 was nice, but resonated with engine noise and extremely noisy during docking. Could not drown out the noise even by turning up tv.
Cabin 6018 by comparison, was like being on a different ship. The room was quiet and the view through our window was amazing. Also ship movement/pitching was almost negligible compared to the other room.
Our rating for the cabin was average, due to the first being terrible, and the second excellent !
