We have travelled on bigger Princess ships, but this was our first time on the Pacific Princess. We chose to go on her for her itinerary to the Baltic and her ports of call. We were favourably impressed. We had the fastest check in of any Princess cruise ever and they let us board when we got there rather than have us sit in a huge hall and wait for the Elite to board. That was a huge bonus as far as we were concerned and we were advised to go have lunch which was superb while our cabin was made ready.

Everything was explained promptly and clearly including packages and dining arrangements. We were able to request a table for 2 from the Maitre de who advised us that he would try for the next night which he did as promised. Again this kind service set an excellent start to our cruise. Our waiters in our first sitting Javin and Samsura were efficient , friendly and considerate. They made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The food was tasty with a good variety and I was able to ask for smaller serves which they accommodated. Again another first.

We loved the ambience of the library with its leather chairs and reading nooks. This was the best library we have ever seen. It was based on an honesty system with a variety of novels. It also had games and reference books.

Compact. Great location with one floor up to the buffet and one floor down to the laundry.
