Nice Cruise. Too many people -- too few venues.

We cruise twice a year and at least one of those cruises has been Norwegian over the past ten years. The Dawn has been recently renovated (2016) and I wanted to visit several of the ports included on the Canadian cruise. My husband and I were in a family suite. The stateroom was large, the bed comfortable, the bedding high end and the staff remarkable. However, we had a shower that leaked water on the floor throughout the voyage, a very loud knocking noise that we could not place and a small balcony where they tried to fit two lounge chairs and a small table. To get into the chair, you had to crawl in from the bottom. We requested two standard chairs and they just added two dining chairs to the balcony. Did not work. Food in specialty restaurants was very good -- not in main dining rooms or cafe. Due to number of people on board, oftentimes you could not get into entertainment on even cafe -- they asked my husband to leave as he was waiting for me so they could free up table.

Port Reviews

Halifax

Love Halifax. 2nd time to this port and we booked a private tour both times.

Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island)

Like Charlottetown. We booked a private tour here.

Saguenay

Loved this small friendly port. Locals met us at dock with blueberry pie and candies. There were also craftsmen at the dock -- we booked a tour here and was very happy with our excursion.
