Decided the best way to see a few of the islands was to fly to Hawaii and cruise. First time on Norwegian. Have cruised many times on RCCL and Princess (once). Even my husband and I didn't exactly agree on this cruise. He loved the idea of VERY causual dinners. I on the other hand felt things were too causual. I don't need to be in a gown, but I like when people are dressed nicely and not just coming from a round of miniture golf all sweaty. When people were so causual, they tended to ACT more causual. There were times people were loud and obnoxious even in the specialty restaurants. I was a bit taken back at Liberty Restaurant when I was wearing a dress with shorts underneath because the night before on the deck I had trouble with the wind..... I was told I couldn't enter because the shorts would peek under the dress now and then. While, one girl in a VERY SHORT romper was escorted in and a gentleman with "ripped" pants (they way they wear jeans now, but they were not jeans). Much to the maitre'd's surprise, I told her I would "take them off if they were so offensive". She immediately called her supervisor and then escorted us to a seat. People around us were shocked they had a problem with my outfit. We were seated near a table with a large extended family and a child that wanted her parents attention. So she would scream and they would give her food. If they didn't pay attention to her, she threw it on the floor. All patrons were very shocked that no one said anything. There were about 1/2 dozen rolls and lots of veggies thrown. The staff would all walk past and look wide eyed at the floor. Diners all commented they felt the head waiter should have tried to mention it was distracting to the other patrons.

As for the food on the entire ship.... it was fantastic. No problems there. Kudos to the kitchen staff. First rate!!

Cabin (8106) was fine. A bit obstructed with the tendors but I was fine with that. Just couldn't look straight down from the balcony. The floor above us had people that played very loud music constantly which was annoying and nothing could be done during the daytime hours. To be fair, they followed "Quiet" hour time but I could have done without the loud dance music ALL DAY!!

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Everything was fine with our cabin (especially our room steward who was just awesome). Bed was comfortable! There was a tender under our balcony but it really wasn't a big deal. Just couldn't see straight down. Had to look outward a bit. By the middle of the trip, we forgot it was there. Besides, guess they have to store them somewhere.
