Overall our cruise was very good! My goal is go on an Alaskan cruise but I get motion sickness so I booked this cruise to try it out and for my husband's 60th birthday. He has never wanted to go on a cruise so it was a totally surprise to him until we started packing the day before. I purchased the cabin décor for his birthday and a cake, it was in the cabin when we arrived! I also purchased the Cheers package because we like to have a few cocktails and I didn't want to have to worry about how much our bill would be if we didn't pay up front. I would not recommend purchasing this at all, we definitely did not get our monies worth. I would recommend putting that money aside on your account which can be spent for other things, as well if you don't use it all on alcohol then you can get the specials and more than one drink at a time. For instance you can buy a bucket of beer and if you have a few left take it back to your room and put in the fridge. They won't sell you a bucket of beer on the Cheers package. I was worried about the size of the cabins, balcony room was spacious enough for the amount of time you spend in the room. Really enjoyed the 2 days at Sea, nice and relaxing. First night we tried out the piano bar, to put it nicely; it was horrible. Please make sure that the person playing knows the songs and gets the crowd engaged in the music and the sing-a-longs. Hint: they have to know what songs to sing and they have to know the words to be able to entertain in a piano bar!!! We also went to the Comedy Club a few times and it was excellent, get there early if you want a good seat. The music shows in the theatre were great with exception of the 80's night, I felt like the performs were screaming the lyrics and the tone didn't come across to pleasing. The trivia in the lobby and the other 2 shows were great, we really enjoyed it. Ship; nice and clean, little dated. Dining: Average. Service: Good Excursions: Land & Sea in Cozumel, Beer Tasting & Pub Crawl in Progresso - We enjoyed both. If you are in the market for jewelry buy in Progresso, I got a great deal!!! Swimming pools and hot tubs were extremely crowded the majority of the time. I was actually shocked at how small the pools are on this ship. We did manage to get in the hot tub on the Serenity area the first night and it was great, few nights later we tried again and the water was so extremely hot it felt like it was scalding our legs. We asked someone to turn it down but never returned to see if it had cooled off.

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Location was good to get to the food on the 9th level. Little noisy with the carts going across the floor above us.

Port Reviews

Galveston

We walked around Galveston for a few hours prior to Embarkation, a lot of cute shops and cold beverages
