When we booked our cruise, we chose this one in particular because the itinerary really stood out to us. We'd never cruised on a Norwegian ship and had only ever done Caribbean cruises (we're from the states) so this whole experience was something new to us!

We were pleasantly surprised by many aspects of our experience; I was a little nervous about being on a "smaller" ship than what we'd been on before, but I found that it was so much easier to navigate around than the mega ships! It may not have all of the bells and whistles of something newer, bigger and fancier like the Allure of the Seas (which I've heard is amazing), but it was very clean and put together very nicely. Service onboard was generally very good, with the only exception being the service in the O'Sheehan's bar & grill--not sure what was going on there but every time we tried it out the service was abysmal. Oh well! Everything else was so good that I'm happy to overlook that little blip!

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

We loved our cabin! It was in a great location in the middle of the ship, near enough to the elevators to be convenient but not central enough to be bothered by any sort of noise. Closet space was great for our needs and The king-size bed was clean and while a little firm for my taste, still comfortable. Our steward, Ferdinand, took excellent care of us and surprised us each afternoon with a new towel animal including a tiny "mouse" under our pillows :) Our balcony was great, let in plenty of fresh air and light, and provided us with a fantastic unobstructed view of each port. What a great way to wake up in the morning! The bathroom had a better layout than ones on previous cruises we've been on; I really liked that the shower had doors instead of a curtain because it kept the water and steam where they belong! It was also nice that the toilet had its own little space with a separate door. My only gripe is that I do wish that there were more outlets; there was only one US-friendly plug in the room and one in the bathroom. I highly recommend bringing a power strip or something if you have multiple electronics that need to be plugged in! We made it work but it would have been nice to have been able to charge both of our phones at the same time. Also, for what it's worth the room was right next to a router in the hallway so the internet signal was strong and faster than I'd expect on a cruise ship. Not bad! Additionally, it was nice & quiet; we never had any issues with noise. I'm glad we chose a balcony, and very glad we ended up in this particular cabin. You won't regret it!
