Booked this cruise to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and was initially amazed at such a magnificent ship but unfortunately things went downhill very quickly. Lengthy queques for embarkation and when checked in you are left to fend for yourself with no idea of where to go and no one to tell you.Cabins were excellent and very comfortable. Food was poor with the Market place buffet an absolute nightmare. No system, people pushing and shoving and standard of food poor. Ended up eating burgers or pizza from pool bar at lunchtime to avoid the mayhem. We had been allocated an early sitting 6 30 pm for dinner in Panoramic restaurant.Food was ok,small portions and not always hot.The only consolation was our waiter Marvin who was so pleasant and friendly. Evenings were a nightmare as other people have remarked not enough seating areas or quiet lounges where you could relax. People were constantly bumping into each other and sometimes would walk through you if they could ! Lengthy queques at bars and not enough waiters. Entertainment mainly catered for Italian and Spanish guests and was poor. Trips booked on ship were expensive so went off shore ourselves.Last day was nightmare as all day sailing so everyone trying to get sunbeds and trying to get food or drinks was impossible. Thankfully the weather was good as place would have been mental If everyone cooped up inside. This would not put me off cruising again but not on such a large a ship and definitely not MSC !
