We were drawn to look into the idea of a cruise from the PBS television ads.

Cruise director was wonderful. We were forced to deal with the problem of low water mid-cruise and had to change from the Viking Skadi to the Viking Bragi. The cruise director from the Bragi began with us on the Skadi from Amsterdam so there was continuity throughout. All the details were handled extremely well with little discomfort to the passengers.

I felt some of the on board entertainment was weak, especially the Danube/Vienna music trio, but entertaining, none-the-less. The classical music performance in Vienna was very good and entertaining. The History/culture lectures on board were very good and helpful. Tour excursion guides were very good, for the most part. Read more
