Friends had done the same cruise and highly recommended it... they were right! Budapest is a wonderful city to start a cruise and Amsterdam was a great destination. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks aboard "Modi". We enjoyed such beautiful scenery, interesting towns and cities and found that river cruising is a really "civilized" way to travel. We were so impressed by the crew and serving staff. They were very well trained and very professional. Our friends told us the food was going to be good and it certainly was, in fact it was excellent. The on shore excursions were well planned and informative. The onboard musical entertainment was very good and the "information talks" were very well done. Our cruise exceeded our expectations and we found that Viking is very good value. As our friends did, we'll be recommending Viking to anyone we know that expresses an interest in European river cruising.
