Sail Date: Sep 2017

We chose this cruise to see some fall color along the St Lawrence and New England. We were too early to see that but timing of that is always a gamble. We were really wanting to see Charlottetown but a few weeks before our sailing we were notified that due to newly imposed speed limits on the St Lawrence the itinerary would be changed to omit Charlottetown and add Gaspe. This was disappointing. They could have omitted Saguenay and Gaspe altogether as far as we were concerned. Those two stops were horrible and had nothing to offer that we were interested in and the excursions that we went on, which were the included excursions, were a waste of time totally. If Viking can't come up with a better itinerary I would stay away from this trip.

As far as the ship and staff, etc it was remarkable as always. The new ships are the very best scandinavian design has to offer. The design, detailing and execution were impeccable, truly beautiful. Our deluxe veranda room was large with plenty of storage space as opposed to the room we had last year on the sister ship one category down which had limited storage space. I recommend the deluxe verandas.

The staff and food were wonderful as always although the bartenders are pretty short on their pours

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Beautiful with plenty of storage. Mini-bar restocked daily was nice.
