My husband and I have always wanted to take a river cruise after having experienced many ocean and sea cruises. We were delightfully surprised with how much we loved river cruising. The smaller ships were beacons of refinement. Our cabin was spacious, airy, and immaculate. Our room steward was excellent!! In fact, the entire staff was excellent, as was the food and drink.

All business on board ship, such as embarkation, disembarkation, and shore excursions were handled professionally and warmly. The ports of call were an A+. Our cruise director Lee was superlative.

We are taking another and longer cruise with friends and relatives this coming summer so I guess you could say we were 100% satisfied.We were able to spend time in Prague before we left from Passau, and we spent additional time in Budapest before we left. The hotels Viking chooses were excellent, particularly the one in Budapest. Bon Voyage to all future vacationers aboard any Viking cruise.
