Balkan Discovery with Transylvania.

Great places to visit and learn about this part of the world. The Cruise Director, Nancy Paredes, was the best! Good dinning, excellent folkloric dancers and entertainment in general on board the Avalon's Illumination. The Captain and the crew were really nice. We also took several optional excursions that were delightful.

This was my second time in Budapest, Hungary, and again I enjoyed visiting both Buda and Pest sides. By night this city is enchanting with all the important buildings around the river illuminated to maximum. Also, at the end of the river cruise, Bucharest, Romania greeted us with beautiful architecture and interesting history. We visited Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. Very worthy trip ending with a 3 days extension to Transylvania, Romania, with lovely castles (Peles and Bran) and Brasow's medieval well preserved enchantment. It was fascinating to be in this area of the world where archaeologists have identified cultures dating back to 6500 to 3500 BC. You will also see many vestiges of Roman and Ottoman cultures in this area.

Cabin Review

Panorama Suite with French Balcony

Cabin B

Very good. The cabin is ample and has great windows that allows to have a fantastic view. It had a nice sofa a table and two chairs and a very nice size dresser. Very decent size TV and good shower. Would have prefer less soft pillows.
