This was our first River Cruise so we weren't sure what to expect (we've taken several ocean cruises). The ship was beautiful and clean and designed so efficiently that is seemed much bigger than it actually was. The crew was always pleasant and ready to help. The food was excellent with a relaxed dining atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the 24-hour self serve coffee bar and the regional cookies that were served daily. The tours were great, with very experienced and knowledgeable guides. We felt that we learned so much! As far as the actual sailing, our Captain was very skilled, as we were able to navigate in low water conditions toward the end of our cruise. We found the smaller size of the cruise was so much more relaxing than on a large ocean liner. Our experience was wonderful in every way. We can't wait to take another river cruise with Viking.
