Tahiti has been on our bucket list for some time. This particular itinerary included the Cook Islands which we saw as a bonus.
We have been on 14 past cruises and clearly the Paul Gauguin provided amongst the best quality cuisine but more importantly an exemplary level of customer service throughout the ship. It seemed as though the crew thoroughly enjoyed their job. The interaction with passengers was just great.
Our favourite stop was the private motu (beach) at Taha'a. The only disappointment was the cancellation of the port visit at Aitutaki due to rough seas/weather. What was impressive was how the Captain walked around around the ship answering passengers questions as to why the port was cancelled. He was very visible and interactive. This was unlike previous experiences (elsewhere) that when a negative situation arises the senior crew disappear.
Large adequate windows.
Ample room with plenty of storage.
Large bathroom with tub
Took a complimentary "Le Truck" trip to the main town of Fare.
