Cruised with Avalon in 2015 and had some reservations. Pre Cruise was allocated Andel Hotel in Prague not the Hilton as stated in the brochure. Firstly the Chauffeur was 30 minutes late picking us up which could have left us late at the Airport but our flight was delayed anyway, which resulted in missing the connection in Amsterdam and waiting an additional 5 hours. Had to get a taxi to the hotel in Prague at Midnight as we were not met at the Airport.
Barbara was a great Cruise Director and always interested in ensuring guests were well looked after. Tours suited us mostly short with optional paid tours which we did not do.
The food was good and varied but they were stingy with the wine which also happened on our last cruise , so this is intentional. Maitre D did her best and was excellent, the waiting staff are a really nice crowd but not 4 star waiters, more Faulty Towers than Savoy.
Very Good worth the extra for top deck views while cruising and in Port.
Saw the clock not sure what all the fuss was about.
Did the walking tour worth the visit.
Incredible Abbey and School the Guide are Abbey Employed so have a great knowledge of the Comples
There is so much to see in Budapest, our two days were well spent did the night tour and some independent walking to the Market, Parliament and Church.
