I chose this cruise because of their advertising that said they were a luxury cruise line. This is completely false. While the ports their smaller ship was able to visit were magnificent, for the most part, we found the majority of the staff to be pompous and arragont, the spa services to be far below standards, and the food to be nothing better than a mediocre restaurant buffet. We received a letter from the cruise line a week before departure alerting us to the fact that they were eliminating three port calls (Monte Carlo, Monaco and another intimate port call) with a three day stop in Nice. They did compensate us $250.00 per person for the neccesity to repair the ship for three days; however this did not even cover the difficult to find cabs and the high dollar fare charges. We ordered room service and were delivered moldy food and had to reteurn the food. The gym mats were all torn and gym equpment was not maintained. The casino was closed for the majority of the trip. After I brought my complaints to the Cruise Manager, I was shunned by several officers for the rest of this trip. I came to find out that two of them were married and told everyone on the ship. Very unprofessional and unethical organiation. We had credits from our on board account that were never refunded to our cards and guest relations told me she would repsond to me within 7-10 days and failed to do so. Windstar is only out to take your hard earned dollars and not provide the luxury and attentive srvice that they promise. I saved for this trip for a long time, and was very disappointed.
