Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise as a way to get to Australia in a relaxing way without jet lag. This was our 7th cruise and 5th with RCL. We enjoyed the cruise but did find both stretches of 5 sea days a little challenging. The staff were excellent Raj and Mohammed in Windstar outstanding, also our stateroom attendant Eko. We ate in Chops Grille once, not the best service but steaks were good. Giovanni’s twice, it was excellent and we had a wonderful waiter but have unfortunately forgotten his name. Staff all knew you by name, no idea how they do that. Food in main dining and Windjammer was good and my standby of salmon was always good if I didn’t like the menu. The shows were, for the most part, pretty good. We had an Aussie comic who surprised us as we didn’t think we would get his humour but he was great. Entertainment in the bars was good and varied.

Only negative was RCL bumped up all prices of drinks etc. That was a bit disappointing.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Loved our cabin. The ship is not brand new but our cabin was a good size and had a brilliant deck. We were just off the “hump” aft and had an enlarged deck that was protected from wind when sailing. It was very close to elevator and stairs just 2 levels below Windjammer. We will be looking at this cabin area again if we sail with RCL Only reason I say “if” is we are currently on Celebrity and our review will not be anywhere near as glowing as this one.

Anyway if you have a chance grab this cabin.

Port Reviews

Honolulu

Big city. Loved Pearl Harbor but a return to Hawaii would not include Honolulu.

Moorea

We took a private tour on our own. Lady driver was informative and it was enjoyable.

Bora Bora

Went to beach. Sand and water were beautiful but if you had woken up there you would not know if you were in the Caribbean or Hawaii or Bora Bora.
