We spent three days in Venice, prior to embarkation. Embarkation took less than fifteen minutes and then a pleasant lunch at La Veranda. We were in our room by 2:30. Very nice room with plenty of closet space and a butler who could answer any question and solve most problems.

We ate at all the restaurants and generally had very good, but not great food. Explorer does a better job with seafood than with beef.

Pacific Rim: If you really like Asian cuisines, then Pacific Rim will be a disappointment. A saute pan on an induction cook-top just does not produce the same results as a wok over an open flame. The wine selections do not pair that well with Asian foods. Same menu as web site every night.

Penthouse Suite

Cabin C

Spacious and well engineered suite. Bathroom had excellent shower, double sinks, quality toiletries and separate commode. Very comfortable king sized bed and wall/doors to living room area blocked sound of TV. Comfortable living room area and separate dinning area with wet bar and mini-frig. Beverages/fruit restocked every day and choice of canapes each evening with a glass of prosecco. Breakfast each morning in our room at the exact time we requested.
