Embarkation: Another wonderful Southern California day. Traffic at port was light. We arrived a little early as did many of the 550 Diamond and Platinum guests. Carnival reception and check-in team were dressed appropriately for a Hawaii Cruise. After checking in at the normal reception area we were directed to an outside seating area to wait for embarkation to begin. All in all, it went quick and efficiently. 5 of 5
Room 5129: Room ready and clean. Steward Sakti stopped by and discussed service and our expectations. We requested cleaning once a day with nightly turndown, Ice, Robe and glasses for bath room. We do ask a little more than expected but he understood and accepted the challenge happily. We had this room Steward last month and what a difference in service provided on this Cruise. Sakti might be reading my Cruise Critic Reviews. Highly recommend Sakti and his team to anyone. 5 of 5
Steak House: 1st night We had reservations for 8:00 PM seating. We like to take advantage of the wine special. Went in and set at the bar early, ordered a bottle of wine. The Bartender IGusti from Bombay had to go to store room to get it. After a little delay he showed up with our wine, was very talkative and friendly. Ask to be seated in Isabela’s section where we were recognized from our last visit, and greeted with enthusiasm. I had the Spinach Salad, Lamb, baked potato and Chocolate Sampler. Was not disappointed but the Lamb was a little tougher than I expected but tasty. DW had the spinach salad, with Lobster Tail with mash potatoes. Her Tail was smaller than expected in fact it was about the same size as the one in the main dining room on formal night. Isabela and her team waiter Julie Rashal provided exceptional service. On DW’s birthday we were treated again by the Casino to another visit to the Steak House. You know it, we ask to be seated in Isabela’s section. I had to go back to my normal Filet Mignon but had the escargot as appetizer. DW had Lobster bisque, cream spinach and Lobster tail again. Vibin the Chef visited the table and we discussed the cooking class he was part of the day before. One complaint on second night we ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list and again they didn’t have it on hand. We selected the second and it also wasn’t available even in the store room below. Come on Carnival why put the wine on the list and not have it. Overall the Steak House on the Miracle has become a place we look forward to visiting at least once on every cruise.
