This was our 4th cruise on Carnival. There was 4 of us in our cabin. We have always enjoyed Carnival in the past and decided to upgrade to a balcony. We were extremely disappointed in the crew and hospitality this trip. Our trip was a total of 6 days and not once did we meet our room steward. We found belongs and paper work from the previous cruisers in our cabin. The bed arrangement was wrong, but was an easy fix. When I told one of the staff that our bed arrangement was incorrect, they told me to call the room steward which his card was on the wall in my room. What was upsetting is in 6 days we never saw the room steward one time! We saw housekeeping but no room steward. There would be dirty dishes in the hallway for hours from guests getting room service and placing the used dishes outside their rooms (which is normal, but not for hours). On the 5th day we had to do laundry, came back to them in the middle of them working on our room, I told them I needed the room for 10 minutes to put my laundry away and hang up some of our clothes that didnt dry all the way. When I was finished I told the workers out in the hallway....they replied to me that they would pass on the message but that was not their room. Needless to say our room never was finished. On Halloween night we joined our 17 year old son on the lido deck for the party. I was very offended when the fun squad told the crowd that he was giving away beads but if you have your hands out BEGGING for beads that you will not get anything. He wanted to see them dancing. The guests on the cruise ship spend alot of money and "BEGGING" is a horrible word to use. We always pay our gratuitys pretrip, we went down the next day to guest services and asked for half to be refunded back. It takes some of us alot of courage just to participate in the smallest ways, and the fun squad has no right to tell the guest on board that they are "BEGGING". Several of the events that happened on the ship were 15-20 minutes late causing you to miss some other events that you may have been interested in. The magician show which my son wanted to watch was 25 minutes late and we had to leave early to get ready for dinner. The part of the show we did see was just the same card tricks that the magician did at the fine dining. The icing on the cake was when we went to get off the ship, they stopped me and said I had a balance on my account (I paid made sure my account was free and clear the night before). They tried to charge us for 3 towels that we had used at the pool and brought back to our room and left in the room for the housekeeping staff. It took them another 45 minutes to take the charge off my account because I refused to pay $66 for towels that we used at the pools. Conclusion is that we used to love Carnival and could never imagine ourselves on another cruiseline, however we most likely will try Princess or Norwegian our next cruise.

Never met the room steward in 6 days! Garbage was left in our room from previous cruisers. We enjoyed the balcony.
