My husband and I decided to check out a Disney cruise for the first time since we cruise a lot. We ended up picking this one because of a discount we found online (not via Disney). While Disney caters to kids, we thought the adult activities would be better planned and orchestrated. We did whiskey, wine, martini and tequila tastings - as well as a mixologist class. The tastings and class went well, however 1.) the locations they picked for the tastings were not great (in the middle of a bar area so we could barely hear and the instructor had to basically shout) and 2.) there were still kids running back and forth. They also did not start any of the classes on time!

The pool was FILLED with kids - which is usually fine, but there were also kids running around in the adults only areas... and the hot tubs were smaller than most other cruise hot tubs (something we love on cruises!).

We had a "meh" experience with our waiter/ assistant waiter - the friendliness was just not there, but stuck with them as anticipated throughout the cruise. (The dining manager was fantastic though and he helped us out a lot as we had requested a table to ourselves and they put us with a family anyway... he managed to get us our own table.) The dessert was great, but to be quite honest - we just were not impressed with the food on this trip - across all meals. Enchanted Garden was our favorite (different atmosphere) - then Animator's Palate (cool concept) - then Royal Palace. (Since we were only on a 3 night cruise, we did not get to experience the "Character to Life" concept at Animator's Palate which we heard was one of the best parts about the cruise.) Cabana's was not impressive.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom

The cabin was fantastic. We had a separate room for the toilet/ sink and a separate room for the shower/ sink. There was ample of space and a lot of hangers.
