We chose this cruise as we wanted to sample the most luxurious ship and like Regent and it went to some unusual attractive ports of call but started in Monaco and ended in Barcelona allowing for stays either end in places we love.

We stayed two nights in Nice prior and one night in Barcelona post cruise. Arrangements for boarding went smoothly at 12.30 and cases were in our room with us by 3pm. We took a concierge cabin as it has more room and it was a special occasion. The ship is spectacular with lots of chandeliers, luxurious carpets, artwork mostly modern though we never noticed the Picasso or Chagall supposed to be there.

The cabin was great and had all you might ever want, massive bed, a large walk in wardrobe with safe, and a bathroom with separate bath (with shower head) and shower cubicle. Free LOccitane soap, shower gel shampoo and cream. The TV had a good number of English language channels and you got one free WiFi access for the cabin.

Concierge Suite

Cabin D

Excellent, had all we needed and some. Safe, binoculars, fridge, champagne bottle on arrival. A big balcony with two chairs, a full recliner and table. His and her sinks in the bathroom

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Colombia)

The dockside Naval Museum is attractive and has lots of historic interest with an annex with the worlds first submarine on display 3 euros entry fee. Nice Promenade to walk along. A city tour bus costs 7 euros and takes 45 mins with English commentary.

Valencia

Wonderful city with lots to see, all in walking distance from the drop off point.

There are modern buildings too but you need to take a taxi to them or use the cruise tour of the city

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

Lovely. Port lots to see and watch. It’s a very hilly town so we just stayed aboard
