This was my first (and probably last) Disney cruise. I had been lead to believe that Disney is a step up from other mainline cruises (my experience there is Holland America, Princess and Royal Caribbean), but other than the specifically Disney events (shows, characters, etc.), it wasn't any better.

I understand that the Wonder had been recently in dry dock and the cabins and public areas looked very fresh. My cabin was much better than Royal Caribbean, about the same as Holland America and not as nice as Princess. Our cabin host (what happened to steward/stewardess?) was great.

The food was generally blah. They always had fancy descriptions on the menu, but nothing was as good as it was described. Very little seasoning. I understand the children's menu being bland, but expected more from the main menu. The quality of the ingredients was uneven. Actually enjoyed the food in Cabanas more than the dining rooms as my expectations weren't as high. Had a steak in Palo and it wasn't worth the $30 surcharge.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin 09A

Nice and roomy with good storage for 2 adult women. Be aware that the bed does not separate, so one person must sleep on the sofa that makes into a bed.
