We are avid cruisers and have attained loyalty status in a couple of cruise lines. Seeing that MSC has a loyalty match program that would give us Black Card status, we decided to give them a try. Embarkation was smooth as it was past our designated time when we arrived. However, our luggage took until 5:30 pm to be delivered which caused us to rush to make our 6 pm first sitting for dinner.

The muster drill before sailing was very disorganized. There was no announcement whatsoever about the alarms and the procedure until everyone was gathered at the muster stations. There was no one to scan our ship card at the entrance to the muster station and we had to find someone to do it.

The ship itself is full of bling and yet very busy to the eye. Our balcony cabin was beautiful and the bathroom is the best designed in our experience, mainly due to the flexible doors in the shower enclosure. Our cabin steward Jovi was exceptional.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Beautiful cabin with two large mirrors, a small sofa and very well designed bathroom.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

There was a small town constructed just off the pier, within walking distance from the ship. They hosted a mayan warrior dance in the public square a couple of times. We visited the interesting shops there and bought souvenirs.
