We cruise with family and friends which makes it more enjoyable. First the good. Or should I say great. The dining room staff; assistant waiter, waiter and head waiter, during our my time dining, where outstanding. They anticipated almost every request. They provided non menu items for sampling that where more flavorful than the menu items. Seeing the same wait staff every evening may seem boring for some, but I like it when someone remembers your name, what your drink preference is or what type of bread you like. It is those little things that make your day more enjoyable. Now the other things. Drink packages have changed. What you may have had last year may not be offered or included. What you think the deluxe package includes, may not pay for your favorite drink anymore. What was served last time may not even be on the ship or offered. Due to the hurricane season and the damage some locations received, some ports and locations remain closed. Itineraries have been changed forcing more ships to group into overcrowded ports and locations. This detracts from your port and excursion experience. Most ports can handle the normal 2 - 3 cruise ships at one time, but squeeze in twice that number and cozy isn't a good word. Overcrowding is a true statement.
Cabin was clean and the bed comfortable. It is always amazing how quickly your room attendant is in and out. Never caught the guy in action. Quick and thorough. Nice!
