Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 2B

This was our first trans-atlantic cruise, and our first cruise on Celebrity. It was a fantastic experience. The crew were all attentive and helpful, the food was mostly excellent, and the ship was in beautiful condition. We didn't think the live music offerings were all that great. The entertainment in the theater was good with one exception. We enjoyed the specialty restaurants and think that Tuscan Grille may be one of the best dining space on a ship. The two-top tables that line the aft windows are a great place to enjoy the sunset.

This cruise stopped at four ports in Spain, and we had great visits at each. On one we took a Celebrity excursion that was enjoyable. The seven days at sea were so relaxing. The ship offered plenty of activities each day. One of us participated in many activities, the other one of us loved just enjoying the sea breeze with a book most of the day.

While October is not an easy time for us to get away, we will definitely plan to do another trans-atlantic cruise.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 2B

Cabin 2B

This cabin is described as obstructed view. There is a lifeboat below but no obstruction looking straight out. It's aft of the aft elevators, and a great location. We liked that we could just walk down one or two flights of stairs and be at the restaurants, bars, and entertainment. The cabin was blissfully quiet once we silenced a squeak in the pull-down bed. There was plenty of storage, comfortable chairs, and the bathroom fixtures all worked well.

Port Reviews

Malaga

Beautiful city simply to walk around and enjoy.

Cartagena (Spain)

We enjoyed visiting some of the Roman ruins before strolling through the city.

Barcelona

Barcelona is amazing and worth more than a day's visit. But given that we only had the day, we took the hop-on hop-off bus. This gave us a great overview of the city, and we found it a great way to get acquainted with Barcelona.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We spent three days in Rome before the cruise, and we love this city.
