We chose this cruise because we had never done a Transatlantic cruise and love cruising so thought it was worth a try. We were happily surprised to find we loved it. We are a retired couple who like to meet new people but not into doing a PHD on every port. We like to get the feel and meet local people.

The crossing from Southampton to Boston was amazingly calm which was a surprise even to Captain Michael. The Crew and especially Eddy the CD and Giuseppe the activities manager were all over the place and the list of things to do every day was amazing. There were talks and games and the usual Trivial Pursuits. Plenty of music as well which had been a bit lacking on a previous cruise on the Eclipse. The Guest Artists were also of a very high standard. Jayne Curry being the icing on the cake.

Personally I enjoy swimming and used the Spa pool till we got to sunnier climes and then swam in the outside pool which was at just the right temperature.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1B

Cabin 1B

The cabin was comfortable and had enough storage. I asked for more hangers which helps a lot. Calvin our steward was excellent and the cabin was cleaned very promptly every morning and evening. We love having the kettle in the room which we used a lot especially early morning and late at night. The A/C was excellent as well and heated or cooled the room as we wanted.
