Celebrity Eclipse Review

The Eclipse is a beautiful and clean ship. Food was OK, nothing outstanding.

I wanted to take this cruise to satisfied four wants being met by the itinerary. I was raved to by past travelers that Celebrity was way above other cruise lines in Food, entertainment, and customer service. I found the cruise no better than any other cruise I had been on. The entertainment, for me, was sub par. I have seen so many air acrobats, I don't want to see another one. Jayne was good but, again, I don't want to see her again. and it looks like Celebrity gets their moneys worth out of her. Gilley and the girl, please. Hearing them was torture. There was an Irish comic that was very difficult to understand so, that was no pleasure. The only entertainment I did enjoy was the singer Mr. Hamilton.

Our room steward (Sheldon) was excellent. He was quick and tended to a complaint we had about our shower door that I thought he would just blow off. They ran out of butter the next to the last night and one of the young ladies was going to go get us some from the Oceanview buffet. Never happened, she just blow it off, saying whatever was needed for the moment. The cruise was alright but, I didn't find it anything special.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

The cabin size was sufficient for two people for the duration of the cruise. The cabinets over the bed I thought would be a problem were not. We had no problem using them. I did like the nightlight in the bathroom that saved us from bumping our toes when getting up to use the bathroom at night. The bed was near the balcony with the head going first.
