Just a great and relaxing time. Went with two other couples, for their first river cruise. Picked Viking again. Went in 2016 to Normandy, fantastic. Viking did a great job retrieving my suitcase, which was sent to Germany by the airline. We found the easiest way to travel was through Viking air. Smooth transition, from plane to boat, and the return. Could be somewhat difficult if there was a problem in a non English speaking country. The food was great. Nice local flavor at times. The on board activities were fun. The Viking service was outstanding, from the time we were picked up at the airport, through the rest of the cruise. The shore excursions were well done by local guides, and very informative. We also took five optional excursions, which were fantastic. The on board entertainment was diverse and interesting, which was also local talent. We found the ship and our room exceptionally clean and well taken care of. We would recommend this cruise to all. If you are going to take one river cruise this would be one to consider.
