I have been on many cruises over the last 30 years and this was by far the best. The food was amazing. Interestingly, the main dining room was better than the specialty restaurants. The service from the crew was attentive without being obstrusive. The ship is gorgeous with a number of innovative features like the snow grotto and the tropical bird sounds in the public restrooms. The "included" excursions were very good. Our cruise got off to a rocky start quite literally as we hit some rough seas and missed our first port, Bermuda. The rough seas caused a window to break on deck one and that trashed the treadmills in the gym. Improvements are needed in both the embarkation and disembarkation. The process was much too slow for a small ship. The entertainment was good and the musicians were fantastic. I loved our penthouse suite. I was surprised, however, that it didn't have a bathtub. Overall the inclusive nature of the Viking cruise makes it a good value in my opinion.
