First time on Viking. We wanted to experience a brand new, fresh ship. Embarkation went smoothly- loved the hand held check in devices the check in agents were using and it was extremely nice to see the Viking personal to assist the agents with the use of these devices. The ship was clean, well designed and beautiful. We had an Explorer suite below the bridge and it was well designed and extremely comfortable. The dining was very good. The two highlights of dinner were Manfredies and the sea food ( king crab legs, sushi) dinners in the cafeteria. The main dining room was nice and we found the food to be very good as well. The Chefs Table was very nice, but not one of or favorites. If Viking can make this beautiful restaurant into a great culinary experience, then it can definitely compete with the other six star luxury cruise lines.

The entertainment was very, very good and we could not ask for more. We loved the theater and we always Felt very comfortable wherever we sat. They also had movies in the enclosed (retractable) pool area that were a nice option. The staff (captain and officers were always mingling and available) and service was great and they all went "all out" to please us. I must also state, that due to weather conditions, we were unable to go to Bermuda and Viking was very generous (without asking) and gave every passenger a credit towards a future cruise, which we took advantage off and booked ( got a great deal) a 22 day cruise to the Amazon River.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

Well designed and very comfortable. Loved the TV in the shower/ bath tub enclosed area. Great and very comfortable king size bed.
