Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

This started as a 10 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean Islands (Puerto Rico, Barbados, St Lucia, St. Maarten, a few others). The hurricane damage changed the itinerary to Southern Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Jamaica). The ports were fabulous! That was the first thing that attracted us to the trip. Second, the cost seemed pretty reasonable for a min-suite with balcony (which was awesome). The Norwegian Jade had been renovated, and the cabins were beautiful. I spent time on the balcony every evening, and it was perfect for me and my husband. We liked being close to everything, so we were mid-ship on the 11th floor, and right under the gym and spa (we used the gym daily). The gym, spa, pool, Jacuzzi, Garden Buffet, outdoor bars, were all located on the 12th floor, and a easy walk from our cabin. The ship is large, but it is not exhausting to get to all of the fabulous restaurants and activities. The food choices were great for us. They had enough healthy choices and variety, that were were not bored in the buffet. The non-alcohol choices in the buffet were limited. The staff were all very nice, and accommodating. The cabin service was superb. I believe our cabin was refreshed three times a day. The activities were fun, and there were always scheduled activities. There could have been more of a variety of activities, but I have no criticism for what they did provide. The choices on the television were awful. If you wanted to stay in the room watching television, there was the same 4 movies being played for days. There were only a couple of channels, CNN, and a couple others, but no variety on the television. You couldn't purchase a movie if you wanted. We used Viator for the excursions, and they were great. All of them met us at the port and brought us back timely. The prices for the excursions were much less that the ships excursions. We really loved the cruise, loved the service, loved the ship, and I already want to go back. I am looking for the next one!
