This was my third time on QM2- I was on the cruise last year to the Carrib. I feel that things are slipping on this ship. The food was just awful at my 8:30 sitting in Brittania. I would call the portions childrens . Dull, no sauce to spark up the flavors. The deserts were just awful. When have you ever been on a cruise in the Carrib that did not offer Baked Alaska??? Cherries Juble had a stale cracker thing in the middle! What??!! We were offered 1 round of bread and that was it. No bread left on the table. Talk about cutting back!! There were no Christmas decorations on the ship, but there were last year. Why?

My tender crashed into waiting tender and nobody asked if we were OK. Seemed to be no one in charge. The waiters were great in dining rooms ---But the bus boys/servers in Carinithian Lounge and out on deck and at the buffet seemed so unhappy and sad. They rarely smiled, and were very unhappy in their work. They crashed the used dishes around. Jarring!! The ship had the feel of an old folks home, with people asleep in the lobby and on the Promd. deck with their mouths open!!! Never ever saw the Capt. or any officers walking around the decks. And be advised that the shore excursion people charge you 10% if you cancel, even if you give 7 or 8 days notice!!! This was not a fun cruise- I will go back to Princess now. Much nicer crew and much better food, although that would not be hard to do!!! Embarkation was fine as was getting off in NY. Very easy. Tea was very nice at 3:30 daily. Drink were much to pricy and small. I could add more, but I doubt anyone cares.......Nobody wants to say anything bad, because you are labeled a grump---I have been on 48 cruises and this line does not deserve the high marks, in my opinion. Just because it is Cunard does not mean they should not try to please any more!!!!!! Get with the times!!! (I am a stock holder)
