We didn't have a terrible time, because we had each other and can make the most of everything, but we have been on quite a few cruises and this was the lowest quality, even lower than a Carnival Cruise 5 years ago. Everything seemed to be out of order: beverage machines, ice machines, bathrooms, ice cream machines... not all the time but often enough that I immediately regretted buying the soda package. The dining room was anything but a fine dining experience, not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. It sounded like a wild party with all of the boisterous (often drunk) diners around us. We couldn't hear the music being played at all and we had to raise our voices to hear each other.
The first night our room was like a walk-in freezer at Sams Club. Some guys came to fix it pretty quickly and we were very thankful, but for the rest of the trip we were uncomfortably warm in our room, which made sleeping difficult.
Finally, debarkation was a mess. After waiting in the lounge for our turn to leave, we spent another half hour (at least) standing in line on the stairs in a mob waiting to be scanned. THere were only 2 crew scanning cards, so someone messed up in the timing of everything. Once we got off the boat, everything was fine. Customs were a breeze, but the getting off process was painful.
The cabin was fine. Clean. HOwever, we had a/c issues. At first, the room was freezing cold, and then, for the rest of the trip, it was uncomfortably warm, making us avoid spending time there.
