My wife and I have been on a few cruises and I guess we were just spoiled on the Queen Mary 2. We decided to save money and try a Princess cruise for once. My parents always liked them. The room was OK but the same dirt and hair was there from the previous people. The deck chairs are dirty and we had to have them check for bed bugs because my wife was bit by something. I ended up going to the ship's doctor for an ear infection ($200.00 US). My doctor here said it here said I had to catch it there. The buffet smelled like I was in an old folks home. We decided to forget the buffet and pay the extra at the Crown Grill ($58.00 plus tip) and the food was just so-so. the service was good though..The Salty Dog ($24.00 plus tip). They should try to not make trendy pub food and make tasty pub food. The burger was not bad but to pay extra it should be better. Last but not least was Share with their multiple courses. I would have to say this was the least impressive. Food was not hot when it is supposed to be and it seemed we were in a factory. ($58.00 plus tip). As for the anytime dinning restaurants service was poor and the food was just so-so. The Pizza was OK but I don't know how they can say they have the best pizza on the sea. Burgers and fry's were what we expected. There was a bright light and that was Vines wine bar and Crooners bar. The people there were great to talk too and more than helpful. We sometimes just went to Vines and ate the sushi because it was better then the restaurant food. The ship is looking tired and the staff seem worn out. We have decided that since this is an example of economy cruising we will now go every 2 years and go back to the Queen Mary 2. Like I said.... You get what you pay for.
