We stayed in an interior suite on deck 8. It was a room for 3 people, and one of the beds was a pull-down bed. It was perfect for us as we had no intention in spending too much time in the room and everything we needed we had. The bathroom was a good size and the shower functioned very well and was always warm, sometimes too warm.

Grand Turk was not a great stop. This is NOT because of the hurricane damage; it is only because the island is a very small village. Grand Turk simply does not live up to the reputation Turks and Caicos has. The beach is beautiful but the rest of the island is very small and, quite frankly, insignificant. The landscape was also very bland, it is not very tropical or lush. I was disappointed.

Beautiful island, a huge contrast from Grand Turk. The island is so lush and green and exactly what I think of when I imagine the Caribbean. La Romana is a beautiful, vibrant city that should not be missed. We were told we may not like it and shouldn't bother going, which was a little rude and unnecessary. If you are interested in being culturally enriched, it is important to go downtown La Romana as it is the only stop that can offer that type of experience. We were dropped downtown near the market where there were a lot of make shift shops. The people were really trying to get us to purchase some of their products, so it made it difficult for us to get through it and shop in peace. But it is what it is. We also walked around the city and ate lunch at a local restaurant and had traditional DR food. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The beach cannot be matched. There is no question about that. We needed more time! It was very hard to leave! We actually ended leaving a couple behind after waiting for them for an hour. I can see why! Aruba beaches are unbeatable.

Stunning natural attractions. Absolutely beautiful island, definitely take a tour and see the natural bridge and the rock formations and the other popular natural attractions. This is the only island that provides this type of experience. The landscape is very different from Dominican Republic and Curacao, as it is essentially a desert. There are cactuses everywhere, and for a Canadian girl, that was a very nice sight.

Beautiful beautiful city! I could live there. The people were amazing, the city was clean, and the town was very picturesque. I can go on and on. This island does not disappoint. Unfortunately, we were unable to make it to the beach. If we had a map, I think we would have been able to plan that a little better. The only thing is that everything closes early. By 6pm, the shops were closed and the streets were empty! But we ate dinner on the island which was so beautiful. The lights were up, the weather was perfect, and the food was excellent! It was a beautiful night.

Curacao

Sometimes it is difficult to navigate, especially when you take the elevator on one end of the ship but cannot walk through to the other end of the ship, so you have to climb stairs and walk through another floor and then walk back down the stairs (confusing!It seems to be, however, that Curacao usually shuts down early, so arriving and leaving late (10pm) was a little backwards.
