As the title suggests, this was my first time on a cruise! Having never traveled in this fashion before, I decided, along with my mother and sister, to join members of my extended family on their vacation. I was not very involved in the planning process, including the ship choice and destinations. But the islands we were to visit (Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Curacao, and Aruba) was beyond exciting to me.

Arrival:

The process of embarking on the ship was very fast. But, we arrived much earlier than our assigned boarding time, and, as such, before the lines really started. I imagine if we boarded when we were supposed to, it would have been much longer.

Cabin 4G

We stayed in an interior suite on deck 8. It was a room for 3 people, and one of the beds was a pull-down bed. It was perfect for us as we had no intention in spending too much time in the room and everything we needed we had. The bathroom was a good size and the shower functioned very well and was always warm, sometimes too warm.

Port Reviews

Curacao

Beautiful beautiful city! I could live there. The people were amazing, the city was clean, and the town was very picturesque. I can go on and on. This island does not disappoint. Unfortunately, we were unable to make it to the beach. If we had a map, I think we would have been able to plan that a little better. The only thing is that everything closes early. By 6pm, the shops were closed and the streets were empty! But we ate dinner on the island which was so beautiful. The lights were up, the weather was perfect, and the food was excellent! It was a beautiful night.
