The good - the ship is a great way to see a great destination - Hawaii! The one advantage of this ship is that, as a US flagged vessel, there is no issue with sailing in and out of an American port with no international waypoint. Having noted that, the staff is less than customer-service oriented, the ship less than clean (dusty common areas in particular were noticeable), food mediocre at best, and dining arrangements for dinner were poor if one did not want to pay an 'up charge' to eat in one of the alternate venues. Given the name of the ship one should expect a 'patriotic' theme but this one is just plain garish. We found the exterior ocean view stateroom to be exceptionally small. We are spoiled, presumably, by our experiences on Carnival (which can be equally garish) and on Holland America (which always manages to exceed our expectations) - both of which have attentive crews and comparatively generous stateroom space. A great way to do Hawaii - but do not expect the same service that you may get elsewhere.

Disappointing
