Bucket list for Patriarch and Matriarch (Grandma and Grandpa) to visit Cuba. One of the members of our party had recent knee surgery so a little difficult to get around. We picked this cruise for its reviews, smaller ship size and overnight destination on Cuba. I see many reviews from people who have recent experience on larger and newer boats which may be their thing. You can't really compare super large class ships with this ship. They aren't the same. About us. We are 40's from a big city (Dallas) and travel extensively with our 11 and 14 year old children. Our travel mates were from OKC and do not. So we had a mixture of expectations and experiences from which to compare.

I found the staff to be generally very friendly, accommodating and willing to go the extra mile. Waitstaff were personable and friendly (Ronald and Jorge!). Food was even, balanced and enjoyable. We eat a pretty intense fitness diet so I am not the best reviewer for most.

Everyone can have a bad day and that seemed the case with an occasional bartender. Entertainment director Hugo was excellent (kids now call out regularly "my beautiful people!") without being obnoxious.
