This was our 3rd Christmas cruise with extended family. Embarkation at Port of Tampa was very smooth, we got lunch onboard as soon as we arrived. A little chaotic, but good. Cabins were ready before 2pm, which was very nice although our luggage ended up having to be collected from the atrium area rather than showing up at our room. I'm sure it would have made it eventually. We wandered around & went through the muster drill. First night we tried to eat in the Dining Room with our Flexible Dining, but they told us it would be at least an hour wait for a table for 5. This was a little frustrating. But the food & service were both good, although we were seated in the hallway to the kitchen area. After dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Tree Lighting and Caroling in the Centrum area.

The second day was a day spent at sea, and was Christmas Day. We grabbed some eggs and bacon from the Windjammer and had pre-ordered pastries, fruit, coffee, and yogurt to enjoy in Mom's suite as we opened Christmas gifts. The junior suite offered us plenty of room to enjoy eachother's company, eat breakfast, and open gifts without ever feeling like we were in her "bed". After gifts, we had a 1pm reservation at Chops. This was excellent. Although the lunch menu offered limited options from what we'd seen online, the food and service was absolutely terrific. We booked next year's Christmas cruise, and Socorro took great care of our crazy bickering family! She even sent complimentary bottles of bubbly to each of our cabins and arranged reservations in the Dining Room for the next 2 nights. That night we ate in the dining room again and had a great meal with outstanding service from Leo and Marija.

Day 3 - George Town, Grand Cayman. We had not pre-booked anything in this port and had decided the night before just to walk off and find a trip out to see Stingray City, as we've done Seven Mile Beach on a previous visit. We lucked out with a nice 3 hour trip that included some snorkeling. Stopped by a few shops on the way back in and we were back on board pretty early. After a great lunch, sitting on the pool deck, and dinner, we enjoyed tonight's Pure Country performance in the Theater.

Cabin D1

Lots of storage space and plenty of hangers. Great hot water & pressure in the shower. Good lighting, especially in the vanity area.
